Phoenix Law Enforcement Association (PLEA) Charities, Phoenix Police Officer’s Association, and Arizona Probation Officer’s Association proudly partner to bring joy to 250 low-income, at-risk youth in our largest-ever Shop with a Cop event!

This fun-filled day is designed to build and foster positive relationships between law enforcement and the community while supporting children who face challenges during the holiday season.

Young participants, ages 7–12, are selected by School Resource Officers, school administrators, counselors, case workers, and teachers. These students not only face hardships but also demonstrate strong academic performance and positive behavior, highlighting their resilience and potential.

Event Highlights:

• Arrival of Blue Santa: The day begins with breakfast and a special visit from Blue Santa, who arrives in style via the Phoenix Police Air Support Unit helicopter.
• Shopping Spree: Each child is paired with a uniformed Phoenix Police officer or Arizona Probation officer and receives a $175 gift card to shop for themselves and their families.
• Wrapping and Crafts: After shopping, the children and officers wrap gifts together and enjoy arts and crafts activities.
• Personal Connections: Officers personally escort the children home, ensuring a memorable conclusion to the day.

The Shop with a Cop program breaks down barriers, builds trust, and creates lasting bonds between youth and law enforcement. By engaging in meaningful, positive interactions, officers and children forge relationships that leave a lasting impact on both.
